Service Advisory UPDATE: Residual delays expected for afternoon trains on 4/28
April 28, 2010
Capitol Corridor Service Advisory UPDATE as of 3:45pm on 4/28:
Due to a trespasser incident near Richmond with a San Joaquin train,
travel aboard Capitol Corridor trains has been severely impacted this
afternoon.
Trains 534 and 545 will NOT operate this afternoon due to equipment
restrictions associated with this incident. Passengers planning to
travel aboard 534 and 545 should use Trains 536 and 547 instead.
Currently, one track is still closed while local authorities continue
their investigation into the incident. Union Pacific has reopened
the other main line track so that trains can begin passing through the
area.
Capitol Corridor expects residual delays through the area for the
remainder of the afternoon as our operations staff works to restore
trains to their regular schedule. Please be patient as with only one
track open, it may take a while for our service to recover from a
trespasser incident.
You may call our toll-free number 1-877-9RIDE-CC (1-877-974-3322) for
updates throughout the afternoon.
