Due to increased ridership and limited seating capacity, the official designation of a Quiet Car on every train has been suspended for some time.
However, we know that many riders on our very early morning trains value this amenity, therefore, conductors may elect to designate a Quiet Car at his/her discretion, depending on the number of riders and groups on that particular train. If you choose to sit in a designated Quiet Car, please respect the passengers in that car by refraining from conversation with others and from talking on your cell phone. Please set all electronic devices (laptops, PDAs, mp3 players, etc.) to silent, manner-mode or low. Your cooperation is appreciated. If you are a 'regular' in a Quiet Car, please make yourself comfortable, and to ensure you are not disturbed, please occupy only one seat so that others may also find a place to sit in that car without having to wake or disturb you to ask for a seat.
We apologize that our ridership growth has made it impossible to designate a Quiet Car on every train, but we will restore Quiet Cars on all our trains when we receive more passenger cars. Thank you for your understanding.

Bicycles are welcome aboard Capitol Corridor trains. You can find bicycle racks on the lower level of most coach cards. If all racks are full, notify the conductor. The condcutor will identify a place for you to safely secure your bike. Please carry a bungee cord with you, to use in securing your bike.
For passenger safety and security, Amtrak has initiated a new policy for carry-on baggage. The CCJPA is requesting that all passengers please be mindful of this new policy. As a courtesy to other passengers, please store your carry-on baggage in the overhead bins or on the floor under your seat to keep seats open for other riders. You may have noticed an increase in passengers aboard our trains. Please help do your part by keeping the aisles and seats free for others.
